10 Tips to Make Hot Oil Hair Treatment.

10 Tips to Make Hot Oil Hair Treatment.

A hot oil treatment is a fabulous way to moisturize dry, brittle hair that has been damaged from heat styling and harsh weather. You can purchase hot oil treatments from pharmacies and hair salons, but it is far cheaper and more effective to create your own using natural ingredients. The following tips will help you create the perfect hot oil treatment that guarantees perfect results.
Tips to Make Hot Oil Hair Treatment

1. Choose Your Oil

 Choose Your Oil
You can use just about any oil you wish to make your hot oil treatment. Certain oils have individual properties that are useful on different types of hair. Coconut oil is ideal for those suffering from dandruff or itchy scalp. Jojoba oil is perfect for greasy hair as it is lighter than other varieties. For those with dry, frizzy or afro hair, avocado oil will add much needed moisture and shine.

2. Prepare Your Hair

Prepare Your Hair
You can apply your hot oil treatment to either wet or dry hair as long as it is clean and free from styling products. Ideally, shampoo your hair in the morning or the night before using a hot oil treatment to get the best results. Oil treatments are suitable for all types of hair whether it is oily, dry, coloured or fine.

3. Gather Your Equipment

Gather Your Equipment
Gather all the equipment you will need before starting to apply the oil to avoid running around the house with oily hands and hair. You will need a small jar to hold the oil, a large bowl, some old towels, kitchen roll for mopping up spills, and your ingredients. You will also need some boiling water to heat the oil to the required temperature.

4. Protect Your Clothing

Protect Your Clothing
Accidentally spilling oil onto your clothing or furniture could be a disaster. Certain fabrics, especially silk, are incredibly difficult to clean, and you may not be able to get the oil out without damaging the fabric. Wear old clothing and line the collar with kitchen paper. Try to stay inside the bathroom for the duration of the treatment as the oil will begin to drip from your hair as it heats up.

5. Heat the Oil

Heat The Oil
Once you are ready to begin, pour some boiling water into a large bowl. Pour your chosen oil into the glass jar and place it in the boiling water. The level of the water should be the same as the level of the oil within the jar. Depending on the thickness of your jar, it should only take a few minutes for the oil to heat up. While you are waiting, infuse your oil with some essential oils and natural herbs.

6. Add Some Essential Oils and Herbs

Add Some Essential Oils and Herbs
Essentials oils such as lavender, rosemary and sandalwood are perfect for those with dry brittle hair. If you suffer from greasy hair, an invigorating oil such as peppermint, lemon or tea tree oil is ideal. Herbs are also a great addition to hot oil treatments. For dark hair, use black tea, walnut shells, rosemary and sage. If your hair is blonde, camomile, calendula and cloves are wonderful ways to enhance your natural colour. If you use herbs, gently heat the oil for at least half an hour before using.

7. Apply Oil to Your Hair

Apply Oil To Your Hair
Start by taking small handfuls of oil and massaging it gently into your scalp. This stimulates the hair follicles encouraging new growth. Slowly work your way through the lengths of your hair to the ends. You want to apply a thin coat of oil to your hair. If you drench your entire head, then you will have difficulties shampooing the oil out later.

8. Turn Up the Heat

Turn Up The Heat
Once you have coated your hair in oil from the roots to the tips, place a plastic shower cap over your head or wrap your hair in cling film. Wrap a warm, damp towel over your head, and leave the oil on your hair for at least 30 minutes. Ideally, leaving the oil on your hair for two hours will allow it to penetrate deep into the hair shaft helping to repair damage and replace lost moisture.

9. Wash Your Hair

Wash Your Hair
Once you are ready to wash the treatment out of your hair, begin by rinsing your hair in the hottest water that you can stand. Next, gently shampoo your hair as many times as it takes to remove all of the oil. Most people do not need to use a conditioner after a hot oil treatment, but if your hair is curly or especially dry then it is advisable to use one.

10. Enjoy Smooth, Silky Hair

Enjoy Smooth, Silky Hair
Allow your hair to air dry completely or for as long as you can. Avoid using heated styling tools such as hairdryers and straighteners unless you absolutely have to. Repeat your hot oil treatments at least once a fortnight for strong, healthy hair. Experiment with different formulas until you find one that works perfectly for your hair.
Jars of hot oil treatments infused with herbs and essential oils make wonderful homemade gifts for family and friends. Once you have applied the oil to your hair, take the time to relax and read a book, sip some wine or even soak in a hot bath whilst the oil penetrates into your hair and scalp.

7 Best April Fool’s Day Pranks.

April Fool’s Day is a great time to inject a bit of silliness and fun into your life. This day you are allowed to play jokes and pranks on your family, friends and co-workers and have a built-in excuse. Check out some of the best April Fool’s Day pranks you can play on people with very little effort.
Best April Fool’s Day Pranks

1. Nice puddle

Nice puddle
Take a bottle of nail polish that you no longer use. Poor it onto a piece of wax paper, and when it is dry, peel the nail polish off of the paper, and place it down, for instance, on a new carpet, or anywhere it’d annoy someone. It will look like a nail polish spilled on the floor, and you can’t get that stuff off. For greater effect leave the bottle near the ‘puddle’. Well, I will definitely try this prank today. My hubby will flip out.

2. Office pranks

Office pranks
If you are at work, you can trick your co-workers by changing the language for Google on their computer, adding a few odd appointments with alarms set to go off during the day to your co-workers’ Outlook calendar, swapping the signs on the ladies’ and men’s rest rooms, taking something from someone’s table and leave them a ransom note, etc. You can also make a spiderweb using string.

3. Salt toothpaste

Salt toothpaste
This is one of my favorite pranks! Put some salt on the end of your children’s and husband’s toothbrushes for a special ‘taste to their paste’. That is a really nice wake up call, or a good way to end the day. This year I’m going to put some salt in hubby’s coffee, because he drinks that more often, then he brushes his teeth. You can also replace the sugar in the sugar bowl with salt.

4. Stop thief!

Stop thief
Is somebody taking a shower? Then steal their clothing and towel while they bathe themselves, and make them confused for a moment and, of course, mad! Not to mention quite embarrassed. Although this is a classic prank, it is so funny!

7 Ways to Say No at Work.

7 Ways to Say No at Work.

Due to the highly demanding corporate life many of us could hardly have any free time for ourselves. Nowadays working overtime is a common thing. If your boss or coworker is biting into your personal time by giving extra workload, and if you’re burdened with even more responsibilities than what you’re paid for, you should definitely learn how to say a ‘no’. Check out some tips on how to say ‘no’ at work.
Ways to Say No at Work

1. Stick to your priorities

If your coworker asks you to do something, but you have something very important lined up beforehand, you should tell him/her you can’t cancel the plan because that’s also important. I understand how it’s difficult to say ‘no’, but first of all think about your tasks.

2. Don’t fall into the ‘yes’ trap

Sometimes even the best professionals fall into the ‘yes’ trap, since there are many loafers who want to put their work on somebody’s desk. Don’t be naive and don’t say ‘yes’ to such people, otherwise it might become a habit and you’ll always be overloaded with extra work.

3. Learn to stand up for yourself

In today’s fast paced dynamic business environment, pressure from the all ends is more likely. However, if you allow the pressure to take better of you, it will be only your fault. If your personal time is always being intruded upon by extra work, you need to stand up and say ‘no’ unless it’s really important.

4. Suggest some alternatives

This is one of the best and indirect ways to say ‘no’ at work. If your coworker or boss is dumping extra work on you, why not suggest alternatives of rescheduling submission dates, splitting up the work or even giving it to someone else? You are not the only worker in the office, so you don’t have to do all additional work yourself.

5. Check your schedule

Before accepting someone else’s work make sure you’re not missing on your own deadlines. It’s extremely important to realize that you must do your own work at first, so if you have a lot of tasks to do, just say ‘sorry, I can’t help you, I have lots of work’, he/she will definitely understand you.

6. Measure the worth of extra work

It might sound strange a little, but it’s also vital to measure the worth of extra work. If you know that the additional work isn’t going to help you gain anything or learn otherwise, say a firm ‘no’. There’s no point wasting your time on such things.

7. Find out who your friends are

Finally, you should find out who just your office buddies are and who your actual friends are. It will make it easier to say ‘no’ when it’s necessary.
Do you know some other ways to say ‘no’ at work? Share your thoughts, please!

7 Sure Signs You’re a Chronic Perfectionist.

7 Sure Signs You’re a Chronic Perfectionist.

Being a perfectionist is a challenging thing because you always feel the necessity of keeping everything under control and getting every little thing perfect. If something goes wrong, a perfectionist can feel despondent and even fall into a depression as they realize that they’ve failed. These usually talented people face problematic relationships and certain mood disorders. If you are a high achiever and a chronic perfectionist, then pay attention to the following features indicating the essence of your character.
Sure Signs You’re a Chronic Perfectionist

1. You need to always be ok

If you have a constant need to keep everything under control, then you are a chronic perfectionist. It’s not a secret that such type of people have less friends, because no one likes to be dictated what to do and to be on your string all the time for you to feel satisfied. The best way for you is to take easy for a while. If you are a boss, try to be milder, because such mega pressing may affect the productivity of your employees.

2. Not good enough

Perfectionists usually cannot reach the biggest goal and do not feel lasting satisfaction, because everything is not good enough for them. They always want and need to do things better than they’ve already got and done. A chronic perfectionist will find at least something, even a few details to be improved. “Perfectionism is a self-abuse of the highest order”. This idea is by Anne Wilson Schaef is the best reflection of the situation, so we should try not to abuse ourselves and stop being a true perfectionist.

3. An eager to please from early childhood

According to psychologist’s statistics, perfectionism begins early in the childhood. Usually, parents want their kids to be better than themselves and teach them to get higher results in different spheres of development. As a result, children become chronic perfectionists, instead of living fulfilled and happy life they face the problems of their exigent temper. Perfectionism is very painful, especially for children, because this dual notion makes them fear the consequences of not doing well and need to do better that usually leads to personal inner conflicts.

4. Frequent procrastination

It’s unbelievably, but perfectionism has connections with the tendency to procrastinate everything. According to several investigations, there are maladaptive and adaptive forms of perfectionism. Maladaptive perfectionists usually need to please others and they procrastinate tasks more frequent, but adaptive perfectionists try to avoid postponements and they please themselves first. Be sure, both forms of perfectionism make you miserable and prevent you from being successful and satisfied.

5. You are mega critical

Do you often criticize others? Perfectionists usually get nervous and reject things in others they hate in themselves. They seem to have a critical eye and they always try to teach others, making people feel discriminated by a perfectionist. If you are a perfectionist, try not to be so harsh and mega critical of other people and it will be better for both sides.

6. You do everything yourself

Perfectionists cannot trust their business to other people. You should understand that you are not a superhuman and you cannot do all tasks yourself. Such habit can be quite exhausting for you and may have a great impact on your health and happiness. It is necessary to rid yourself of this destructive habit.

7. You reach your goals by all means

Do you often reach goals stopping at nothing? Perfectionist is a person who will do everything to reach their goal, even if it will hurt them. We should realize that such unhealthy attitude won’t drive us to excellence, because the absence of rules and limits can lead to quite unusual and unknown consequences. If you are a perfectionist, you should know when to stop, otherwise your temper can play a bad game with you and your interrelation with the society.
It’s difficult to be a perfectionist. You are always chased by the desire to be in charge of everything that is theoretically impossible. Remember that this habit is very exhausting and can both make your life more saturated and unfortunate at the same time.

Sometimes proverbs can be so inspiring that they even change who you are and how you live your life. If you want to feel refreshed and inspired, take a look at some great and incredibly meaningful proverbs everyone should live by!
Most Meaningful Proverbs Everyone Should Live by

1. “The purpose of life is a life of purpose” – Robert Byrne

Perhaps, this is my favorite proverb, because there was a time when I didn’t understand what the purpose of my life was. I think at some point every one of us comes to that difficult question of what the purpose of life is. The answer is actually different for everybody and some people may not know it yet and that’s not bad. The basic point of this great proverb is to live your life with purpose in all your thoughts and actions, which is actually everybody’s calling, regardless of passions and talents. I have this wonderful and meaningful proverb on my wall and it really helps me through difficult times!

2. “In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold” – Eph. 4:26-27

I always think of this proverb when I’m in a fight with a family member, partner or friend. While being angry is normal and even healthy, we should not be consumed by anger and it must not still be there the next day. If you are consumed by anger over a disagreement or fight, you can easily say or do something you will regret later. So calm yourself by taking a few deep breaths and try to resolve the issues without fighting. Remember you and only you are responsible for your actions so do your part to stay cool, calm and collected!

3. “A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing” – Oscar Wilde

Though I try not to be a cynic person, with all the selfishness abounding in our world it’s extremely difficult not to be cynical. I believe that there are many selfless and kind people who really make our world a better place to live in! It’s an amazing goal to see the value in those things that are not fleeting in life, such as love, faith, family, and friends!

4. “Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it ” – Confucius

Have you ever heard the saying ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’? I absolutely agree with Confucius. Beauty is everywhere we just don’t notice it at times. Every day try to see those little things, which are very beautiful. It can be lunch with your friends and interesting conversation. Sure, it’s the little thing, but it’s so beautiful!

5. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Often it’s extremely difficult to ignore negative words, especially when they are from someone you love. If it happens, the best thing to do is to tell the person that it’s a great pity that they have such opinion, and that you are going to think otherwise. Never dwell on negative words, I know it’s easier said than done, but you should try to do it!

6. “Kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows” – Anonymous

I like this proverb because unkind people can’t have virtuous traits. Kindness comes from love, and without love, all virtuous characteristics are worthless. I believe this is a beautiful and meaningful proverb everyone should live by!

7. “Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark” – James 3:5

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. The entire verse compares the tongue to a big fire and how our words are powerful and destructive. Every time I read this proverb I always think of gossips and how they spread like a fire, consuming people who turn their ears to listen. Gossips can ruin lives, so we must avoid spreading rumors about other people, even if they’re true. It’s just unkind.

8. “The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step” – Chinese Proverb

I love this proverb because it’s really motivational in all areas of life. I think about my fitness goal and how the most difficult part about getting into exercise is just beginning and taking that first step! The first step is always the most difficult since it’s the mental battle you should overcome.
These are all of my favorite proverbs I live by. I feel really inspired and refreshed when I read them. I hope you like these beautiful proverbs and you will take them to heart! What proverbs do you live by? Please comment below and thanks for reading!

You have to set priorities whether to spend more time with family and friends or make a successful career. If your heart needs love, then try to become a good wife or a girlfriend to your man.

3. What do you like to do?

This question is really important because often we choose jobs that we don’t enjoy doing. We are often pressed by parents, colleagues and bosses to make a decision we don’t support. There are many important things we all should do in life, such as finishing the college degree, making money and starting a family. Reading a good book or watching a favorite movie is much better for you than going out and having fun.

2. You love quiet

If you love and enjoy quiet, this is another sign you are an introvert. In fact, everybody can enjoy the quiet whether they’re an extrovert or an introvert, but introverts enjoy it in an unusual way. They crave quiet because it energizes them, boosts their mood and makes them feel happy and ready to cope with any situation.

3. Social situations usually stress you

If social situations usually stress you, you might be a true introvert. Many introverts can pretend they are outgoing when they feel they need to be, but they feel uncomfortable and they look for ways to spend time alone. They feel relieved when they’ve gotten through social situations and can be in their little world again.

4. A surprise party isn’t your cup of tea

For an introvert, a surprise party is simply the end of the world. They don’t like to be the center of attention and they hate all the fuss made over them. Sure, they appreciate the gesture, but a surprise party isn’t for them. A quiet and modest celebration with a few close friends or family is enough for them.

5. You need recovery time after a social event

While social situations energize extroverts, they can drain introverts. If you need recovery time after a social even to get back to yourself and feel like your normal self again, you are a true introvert. You may want to find a way to spend time alone and hear your thoughts again. It’s not bad. Being an extrovert or an introvert are acceptable types of personalities these days.

6. You prefer to interact with people one-on-one

An introvert always prefers to interact with people one-on-one and try to avoid a large group of people. They feel comfortable and enjoy a chat when they communicate with one or two individuals. If you are an introvert, a large group of people can throw you off. If given the choice, you join a small group setting instead of a huge gathering.

7. You have few friends

Every person needs friends and an introvert is no exception. An introvert focuses more on the quality of their friends than the quantity of them. They don’t care how many friendships they have. Introverts select their friends wisely and when they find them, they are devoted to their friendship.
After reading these signs, could you tell for sure you are an introvert? If you are, don’t think something is wrong with you. Love yourself as you are and enjoy your life to the fullest. Are you an introvert? Do you enjoy spending time alone? Why?

8 Most Common Myths about Introverts.

8 Most Common Myths about Introverts.

There are a few common myths about introverts that many people tend to believe. Many people believe that introverts are shy, rude, they hate parties and don’t like people. However, it’s absolutely not true. Introverts just need some alone time to recharge, while extroverts enjoy being around others and they hate being alone. Introverts like to do self-reflection, analyze different ideas and they prefer solitary activities over social ones, while extroverts prefer social activities and they can express themselves more freely verbally. Check out the list of several popular myths about introverts that will help you understand them better.
Most Common Myths about Introverts

1. Introverts are shy

Introversion isn’t the same as being shy. Although some introverts might be a bit shy, most of them are actually not shy. Shy people avoid social activities because of the fear, and introverts prefer the environments that aren’t over-stimulating. Shy people are literally afraid of people and they try to avoid any company and social gathering. Introverts are definitely not afraid of people, they simply enjoy activities they can do alone or even with several others.

2. They’re rude

Unfortunately, many people perceive introverts as standoffish and rude, simply because they’re straight-forward, honest and a bit blunt. Introverts prefer a meaningful conversation rather than a small talk, though they can have a small talk at times. If you invite an introvert to your fantastic party and they turn down your invitation, don’t think that they are rude. They don’t want to hurt your feelings, they might be tired and they really need to relax. Introverts are actually good people who always build meaningful relationships and they rarely intend to hurt someone.

3. They don’t like to talk

Most of us tend to believe that introverts hate to talk. It’s a myth. Yes, introverts spend more time thinking and analyzing things, gathering all the facts, and they don’t like to take decisions in a rush. As I mentioned above, some introverts don’t like small talks, but if you talk about something that interests them, you will not even notice that they are introverts.

4. They don’t know how to relax and have fun

Trust me, introverts do know how to relax and have fun, they just do it in a different way. They don’t like to go out and party the whole night, but they can easily relax at home while watching their favorite movie or reading their favorite book. There is nothing more fun to introverts than a day or evening spent at home doing their favorite activities and enjoying their own company.

5. They hate people

One of the most popular myths about introverts is that they hate people and avoid them at all costs. Yes, introverts usually have fewer friendships, however, their relationships are more meaningful. Sure, extroverts are not superficial, and even though they have more friendships, they lack true friends. If you have an introvert friend, you are very lucky, because introverts cherish true friendship and they are really loyal. You can always count on your introvert friend and they will definitely help you in any difficult situation.

6. They are bad public speakers

Statistics show that many introverts are incredibly talented public speakers and comedians as well. Introverts just need more time to prepare themselves and they practice a lot before speaking confidently in front of a crowd. In fact, every person can become a good public speaker, of course, if they have enough patience and they work hard to improve their public speaking skills.

7. They want to be alone all the time

Just because introverts enjoy alone time does not mean they want always to be alone. Introverts think a lot, daydream and they even like to have some problems to work on, but they can get extremely lonely if they do not have anyone to share their feelings, discoveries and experiences with.

8. They are weird

Introverts never follow the crowd and they are usually individualists who prefer to live their life in their own way. Introverts never take decisions based on what is trendy or popular. They always do what they love, and they don’t compare themselves to others.
Introverts are nice people and we don’t have to believe in all those myths. If you know some introverts or if you are an introvert, I’m sure you will agree with this article.

1. Low-fat yogurt with strawberries and blueberries

Low-fat yogurt with strawberries and blueberries
Strawberries and blueberries are rich in powerful antioxidants that help keep your skin looking younger longer. Low-fat yogurt with strawberries and blueberries is a sweet snack that fights premature aging and it’s one of my favorite snacks to munch on when I’m a little hungry. I personally don’t like blueberries by themselves, so I usually mix them with my favorite strawberries, which are also good for skin because of their high content of vitamin C. In fact, strawberries are higher in vitamin C than oranges. Use them as a topping for your low-fat yogurt and enjoy healthy skin. I choose low-fat yogurt since it’s packed with calcium and protein that help keep skin firm. It’s also rich in vitamin A that helps keep your skin cells healthy.

2. Mango, papaya and kiwi fruit salad

Mango, papaya and kiwi fruit salad
Fruit salad is perhaps the most popular healthy snack most of us opt for. But it’s important to know what you put in your fruit salad. Sometimes I choose tropical fruits, which are wonderful sources of vitamin C that helps your body produce the collagen that in turn keeps your skin firm and elastic. Orange and yellow fruits like papayas and mangoes are also an excellent source of beta-carotene. These fruits are great substitutes for those fruit-flavored candies that contain plenty of processed sugar. If you are suffering from breakouts it can be because of processed sugar. Mango, papaya and kiwi fruit salad is naturally sweet and it’s one of the healthiest snacks for perfect skin.

Please don’t think that oatmeal is the perfect food only for breakfast. A bowl of hot, tasty oats is a satisfying, healthy snack that will help curb your mid-afternoon carb cravings. Since oatmeal keeps blood sugar levels stable, it can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Add walnuts and apples to your oatmeal and you’ll have even healthier snack. I’m also a big fan of carrots and I’m happy that I can enjoy carrots with tomato paste dip and have a perfect skin (I actually have a perfect skin now, though I suffered from severe acne all over my face.) The thing is that the tomato paste contains the lycopene that protects your skin from the age spots and wrinkles caused by UV damage, however, it doesn’t mean that you can stop using your sunscreen. Carrots are packed with beta-carotene that helps lower sun sensitivity. In case you hate plain tomato paste, try blending it with hummus or crushed garlic that contains allicin, which has wonderful antibacterial properties.

7 Fun Ways to Add New Fruits and Veggies to Your Diet.

Have you ever thought about how to add new fruits and veggies to your eating plan instead of the typical tomato and broccoli? I tend to eat my favorite fruits and vegetables each day and stop thinking about adding something new to my diet. Eating the same fruits and veggies daily is an easy and quick way to get in a healthy eating rut. If you want to make your eating plan a bit different, try a few ways to add new fruits and veggies to your diet and you will see that there are many things which are much tastier than just steamed broccoli and chef salads.
Fun Ways to Add New Fruits and Veggies to Your Diet

1. Veggie bake

Veggie bake
Making a veggie bake is one of the most creative ways to get children or picky adults to consume more vegetables. To make a veggie bake, take vegetables such as sweet potato, zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant, carrots, and tomatoes, slice them lengthwise into thin strips and layer them in a casserole dish. On top of every layer, place a tiny drizzle of olive oil, tomato sauce, and fresh herbs like basil and oregano. Repeat the layers and topping again. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for an hour. It’s one of the easiest and healthiest dinners you can make and it’s a wonderful way to add new vegetables to your healthy diet.

2. Parfait

Parfait
If you want to try new fruit every morning, eating a breakfast parfait is a great way to do it. You can add two or three new fruits in your breakfast parfait every week. When making my breakfast parfait, I love to opt for fun colors that make it more appealing and delicious to eat. You can even switch up the colors every day to surprise your family each morning. I usually layer some fruits with organic Greek yogurt and add seeds, nuts, and sometimes cooked oatmeal to make it more filling. If you don’t like Greek yogurt, you can try coconut yogurt. Do you have picky kids? Parfaits are an amazing kid-like treat that your little ones will certainly enjoy eating for breakfast.

3. Smoothies

Smoothies
If you read my articles, perhaps you know that I’m a huge fan of healthy smoothies and I think they are a fantastic way to add more new fruits and veggies to any healthy eating plan. There are a great variety of smoothies to try, you just need to make sure that your smoothie is really healthy. I suggest adding some yogurt or almond milk, along with half a banana and some ice. You will be astonished at just how delicious and healthy this can be! The best thing about smoothie is that you can add endless veggies to it, even those you don’t like.

4. Sandwich

Sandwich
Have you ever tried using different vegetables on your sandwiches instead of cheeses or meats? I love to make a veggie sandwich out of sweet potato rounds, topped with some carrots, tomatoes, olive oil and chia seeds. You can also use fresh tomato and cucumber on whole grain bread and opt for a spread which is made of stone ground mustard. Get more creative with it and try some new fruit on your sandwich. Although I generally choose veggie sandwiches, I love to make sandwiches with sliced papaya and berries for my family. This week I’m going to try to make veggie based bread from steamed sweet potato slices, my coworker said it’s incredibly tasty. Well, let’s see!

5. Stir-fry

Stir-fry
One of my favorite ways to add new veggies to my diet is stir-fry. I often make a delicious dish of rice and various veggies, and add some low sodium sauce with grilled chicken. It’s a winsome way to try new veggies, especially if you have kids. Try to add some onion and garlic to your stir fry, and, if you want, branch out from zucchini and broccoli a bit. You can also go for sliced red bell peppers or eggplant, shredded cabbage or carrots. I recommend using low sodium soy-sauce to season your meal with. Instead of white rice, opt for brown rice or quinoa to make your dish healthier.

6. Juices

Juices
Juices are another sneaky way to try new fruits and veggies. I like to choose one new veggie every week to make a tasty juice. My latest new favorite veggies are dandelion greens, Swiss chard, and fennel. They are tasty and they are high in vitamins and minerals that our bodies need. Plus, they are easy to digest and they can improve your complexion. Don’t try too much fruits in your juices because they can increase the glycemic index. Try low sugar limes, lemons, and green apples to add more fruits to your diet.

7. Dips

Dips
Dips made from veggies may not seem tasty, but they actually are. My favorite is a sweet butternut squash dip, though I also like dips made from pureed avocados, tomatoes, zucchini and carrots. I usually eat these dips with celery sticks and whole grain bread. You can use spices and herbs to jazz up the flavor and enjoy something new every day. Fruit dips are also great, but I recommend mixing fresh fruits with a bit of yogurt because fruit dips are difficult to get smoother in texture. My favorite fruit dip is made of half banana, half pumpkin and a bit of vanilla. This makes a fabulous topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or muffins.
Now you see that there are many great ways to add more fruits and veggies to your healthy diet. Try a few of these ways and enjoy healthy and delicious meals every day! If you know other ways to add new fruits and veggies to a healthy eating plan, don’t forget to share them with us in the comments section. I’d like to try some new ideas and add them to my list!
