8 Makeup Tricks You Must Know!
Think you know everything there is to know
when working with makeup? Think again, because the quirky tips will
completely change your routine. Today, we at Keeping Up With Sandy Rose bring
you some good tidings, which we believe would be helpful details for
you, from methods that make your products last to tricks that enhance
their effects, there’s something for everyone!
Trick 1. Making your makeup last longer:
Lightly wet your makeup brushes before you
apply foundation; not only will you look more radiant, but your makeup
goes further. You can even try this on eyeshadow for a little dewy
sheen, and soon you’ll realise you’re getting through a lot less of your
makeup.
Trick 2. Turning every lipgloss into a plumping lipgloss:
The only downside to plumping gloss? We can’t
get it in every shade – these sultry gems are few and far between and
often boast just a few colours. So, instead of spending on a colour you
don’t love, simply amp up your favourite gloss; a few small drops of
peppermint oil will give it a pout-pumping fix. Pow!
Trick 3. De-oiling your oily bits:
Gucci Westman’s oil-busting trick may sound a
little bizarre, but if you want to create a smooth, matte finish, this
fix really does work. Get some anti-perspirant on your fingers and blot
it into your skin; it de-slicks T-zones and under-eyes without the cakiness of a powder.
Trick 4. Lengthening your lashes:
Limp lashes? No problem with this talcum
powder technique, which makes the most of your mascara by adding volume
and length. Apply your first coat of mascara, then dust on some talc (or
any powder) with a blusher brush while lashes are wet, before adding
another glossy black coat that pumps up the thickness pronto.
Trick 5. Hiding hungover eyes:
Hangover, late night or just a case of flu?
Fake being your bright-eyed best with a dab of white pencil. Placing it
in your waterline neutralises the angry red, and instantly makes your
eyes look bigger throughout the painful fatigue.
Trick 6. Getting everlasting lipgloss:
If you want to get a few more wears out of
your running-on-empty gloss, pop the tube in a glass of warm water and
sit for 10 minutes. The warmth will melt the gloss from the sides that’s
become stuck over time, so you’ll be able to keeping using without
losing a drop.
Trick 7. Brightening up the ol’ eyebags:
Salmon pink tones are perfect for cancelling
out deep, dark circles, but many concealers are too yellow to reap the
benefits. Add a little coral lipstick to your usual cover-up to
neutralise the purple and blue and brighten the under-eyes.
Trick 8. Applying concealer – correctly!:
If you’ve been dotting concealer under eyes,
you’ve been doing it all wrong; a triangle shape from will block out
dark tones when circles are bringing your down. Think of your lashline
as one side of the triangle, and take it down from there, coming to a
point at the tops of your cheeks then gently blending in.
