We have seen many pencil skirts on the runways for this season. Personally I love pencil skirts – they flatter pretty much any figure;
they are ideal for wearing to an office and they never go out of style.
Depending on your work environment wearing too much red may be
inappropriate, but you can always spice things up by adding shoes or
purse of this vibrant colour.
3. Velvet fabric

Any fashionista can incorporate this trend in her office-appropriate wardrobe. Gordon Richardson, creative director of Topman,
explains the fabric’s appeal: “Velvet is one of those perennial
classics that are faintly nostalgic, reminiscent of simpler, noble
times,”
4. Printed dress
If your work environment is more creative than formal, then you can probably go for a printed dress to wear to an office. Various prints such as ethnic, floral,
geometrical, paisley continue to be trendy this fall-winter 2012-2014.
Of course, your dress just has to be the length appropriate for wearing
to work.
Tip: Combine your printed dress with a monochrome fitted jacket for creating more formal look.
5. Tweed pieces
Tweed pieces(be jackets, pants, skirts or
tops) are trendy this season, and can be combined into your outfit for
wearing to an office. As you can see work-appropriate outfits can also
be colorful and fun to wear.
Tip: Making the tweed piece – the main accent of the outfit – makes the whole outfit really stand out.
