How to Care For Your Make-Up Brushes.

How to Care For Your Make-Up Brushes.

Caring for your make-up brushes as often as possible is not only about keeping up good hygiene, it also helps against breakouts and other skin infections. It also helps to keep your brushes in a good condition for a long time.
Below are some tips to ensure your brushes are perfectly cared for:
-Run the bristles of the brushes under warm water to get wet (do not soak them in water).
-Put a drop of mild shampoo on the bristles, small drops for eyeliner, concealer and other small brushes. Add more drops (to get it soapy enough) for foundation, blush and kabuki brushes.
-Gently rub in the shampoo, until you have a bit of lather forming or soapy enough.
The Lather may be a bit colourful depending on the type of make-up you have used. Make sure the lather eventually comes clean and clear.
 - Make sure you gently rub almost every bristle.
Be careful not to get shampoo on the part that holds the handle and the bristles together. Also try as much as possible not to distort the shape of the brush.
-Rinse the brush thoroughly until there is no visible lather. Make sure to rinse the bristles inside out.
-Blot the brushes dry using a clean towel.
DO NOT WRING them as this will change the natural shape of the bristles, spoiling the brush.
DO NOT FAN them out immediately, this also distorts the bristles.
-Lay the clean brushes flat on the towel for a few hours. Rotate the brushes or flip them over after a few hours.
